hand embroidered glass beads on upcycled leather back with 925 silver earring posts

this small collection of earrings handmade by artisans is the second iteration on a collection we launch earlier in the fall, to support the community in times of need. we recognize the minimal use of artificial materials in this collection & are working with the team to see how we can replace them with natural materials. we have added upcycled leather backs and hypoallergenic earring posts in 925 silver, both upgrades from the previous collection. the fact that this was handmade by a community of artisans in a safe workplace where they are paid atleast 25% higher wages than industry and during covid when employment opportunities were rare, compelled us to include this collection in our curation. each pair takes about 4-5 hours on average for an artisan to make.
